His work with Vancouver based Heath Tech accelerator positions him well to support the commercial evolution of Inventor MD and AbClo.

John Hargreaves

Biochemistry Graduate

John graduated from Queen’s University’s Biochemistry program in 2023 where he was a successful Varsity Rugby Athlete, Dry Lab Researcher for the award-winning Queen’s Genetically Engineered Machine, and Co-Founder of the Greenovations Retrofit program – providing free sustainable retrofits to student homes. He joined the Inventorr MD team to pursue entrepreneurship excellence in his goal to equitably bring societal-level innovations to those who need them most.

Taranvir Dayal

Healthcare Leader

Taranvir is a master’s prepared advanced practice nurse and has provided clinical, educational, and operational leadership in different healthcare settings. Taranvir started her career 10 years ago as a registered nurse in palliative care and complex continuing care. Her interest in process and systems improvement and best practice creation and implementation led her to pursue her master’s in nursing with a focus on leadership and education. After completing her masters (2018) Taranvir went on to creating and re-evaluating many healthcare programs to bring evidence informed best practices to the point of care. Taranvir created a best practice champions program to help implement quarterly prevalence and incidence studies for pressure injury prevention, assessment, and management to reduce the amount of hospital acquired pressure injuries. She also provided clinical consultation to facilitate management of unique clinical problems such as complex wounds, ostomies, fistulas and created local best practices informed by the literature and collaboration with internal and external interprofessional experts. Taranvir’s acquired skills help in creation, implementation and sustainability of best practices surrounding AbClo through research, collaboration, knowledge translation and transfer.

Dr. Ori Rotstein

Founder
VP Research & Innovation at Unity Health Network

Dr. Ori Rotstein is the Vice President of Research and Innovation at Unity Health Toronto. He is also a Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto.
In addition to his role as VP, Dr. Rotstein is a practicing General Surgeon, and is an acknowledged expert in the management of intra-abdominal infection and inflammation. He is the former Director of the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, the postgraduate arm of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2001-2011 that was responsible for graduate training programs for more than 500 MSc/PhD students. In 2012, the Institute of Medical Science honoured him with an annual lecture ‘The Ori D. Rotstein Lectureship in Translational Research’. He is a member of several prestigious medical societies including the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, the American Surgical Association, and the American Society for Clinical Investigation. He is a Past President of the Surgical Infection Society and has contributed significantly to the activities of the American College of Surgeons through his participation on the Program Committee, Surgical Forum Committee, and the Scholarship Executive Committee.
